Qwaderton (formerly Qwaderton Software, Qwaderton Labs) is an independent non-commercial IT project that exists as a collection of ideas based on the principles of software minimalism and open source code. It was founded in late 2022.
The project has evolved from an attempt to create a full-fledged software company to a personal laboratory of a single developer (atarwn), focused on creating tools "for himself" that remain available to the community.
The project is based on a radical rejection of bloatware and the concept of "hatred of modern software." Qwaderton's main ideology is to create tools that perform one specific task while remaining as simple as possible for both the user and the developer. The project promotes the principles of autonomy and transparency by providing open source code and the ability to run services on your own hardware, thereby giving users back control over technology as opposed to cumbersome corporate ecosystems.
